A Quick & Easy Way To Create Art For Beginners | Abstract Painting | No Paint Brushes Required

Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to make an abstract painting, a quick and easy way to create art without using any paint brushes:

1. Gather all the materials. You only need the following: blank or reused canvas, acrylic or oil paint colors of choice, paint retarder, clean water, dust-free cups and stirrers (reusable, if possible), and a hair dryer (preferably with a nozzle).
2. First, mix water and paint retarder in a cup until the mixture reaches your preferred consistency (not too thick, not too thin).
3. Add an acrylic or oil paint color to the mixture and stir well.
4. Repeat steps two and three for all paint colors.
5. As soon as all the paint colors have been prepared, pour each mixture on the canvas one at a time. You may pour each mixture in single or multiple layers. Or you may also pour them however or wherever you want them to be. After all, there is no right or wrong method when it comes to art.
6. Use a hair dryer to guide the flow of the paint colors. Adjust the hair dryer’s speed as necessary.
7. Keep your painting flat and let it dry for at least 48 hours.

Helpful Tips:

• Always remember the law of gravity. Do not move the canvas unnecessarily, especially when the paint mixture is still wet. Let it dry first before letting it stand vertically.
• Be mindful of your furry friends. They might also want to contribute to your artwork. Let your painting dry in a safe place, as far away from pets as possible. Otherwise, you’ll find a few seemingly random paw prints on the canvas the next morning.
• While using the hair dryer to move the colors around, do not let it touch the liquids on the canvas. In the event that the hair dryer touches the colors, it would require a lot of time to fix the design. Not allowing the hair dryer to touch the colors will ensure the consistency of the paint colors throughout the canvas.
• Just give it a go! Don’t be afraid to try something new. Feel free to experiment and have fun! That’s exactly how creating art should be.
