The four features of a communication product is first that the media product in which one person’s use of or benefit from the product does not affect it use by or benefit to another person. (Edwin Baker) For example more than one person can read the same book and its still usuable and sustainable. The second feature that a communication product has is that people who don’t have the product are affected either very positively by the product or very negatively by the product. The third feature that communication products have is that media products are unusual in that often two very different purchasers pay for the transfer of media content to its audience. (Edwin Baker) For example people pay for television and to watch television and companies pay for adds that air on the television programs that people watch. The fourth and final feature of a communication product is why or how consumers value products and what people seek about products that sarisfy things that they already prefered. For example when people people use edification to pick out a product. Edification includes education, exposure to wisely selected information, or wise opinion and good argument. For example people will look to educate themselves on a product but either the information about the product is marginalized to either put down or help the product or they don’t look on enough platforms or reasearch it enough. I think I defiantly fall victim to edification. I usually don’t research a product all that much I might just ask some friends or read the first review of it online. I didn’t fight as actively against as I should have. If I shot a video and used Beyonce’s song in the background, I would violate a copyright law because I did not create the product even though I may have payed for it. For example you can pay for a Beyonce song and listen to it, but you can’t show it to an audience because they didn’t have to pay to listen to it. But if you were to use your own soundtrack that would be fine because you produced it and you have all the rights to it. So you can deciede whether or not people get the right to listen to it without having to pay for it.
