World’s first on-chain, online Coding competition for Cairo-lang

• The goal of the Cairo Kings Arena is to promote the Cairo-lang and inspire developers.
• The challenge tests the participant’s brainstorming skills and allows them to prove their ability.
• Through this event, we aim to engage the blockchain community to learn more about the Starknet Ecosystem.
• The reward motivates Cairo developers to continue their journey and inspire others to start developing in Cairo-lang.

Overview

• On-chain coding competition, where participants solve Cairo-lang problems in a live/online setting.
• The participants compete with each other, Accuracy and Time are two crucial factors determining the winners of this competition.
• The total time for solving problems is 4 hours.
• The winners are rewarded with an NFT Certificate declaring them the winners of Cairo Kings Arena.
• The winners will also be listed on Cairo Kings Leaderboard.

How to Participate

• A participant whitelisting process will start on 01/10/2022 — at 2 PM UTC.
• Users will visit Dolven Labs Cairo Kings Arena Module to register themselves.
• Users connect to Arena Dashboard with their Argent Wallet.
• Users need to interact with the dashboard to be whitelisted.
• All those who have connected their wallets and interacted with the dashboard will be Whitelisted as Participants.
• The Whitelisted participants will be able to view the On-chain Competition Module.
• Users can see questions on the dashboard that they need to solve to win the event.

Event Format

• The event will start on 07/10/2022–2 PM UTC
• There will be 10 Algorithm and Cryptology based questions that participants need to solve.
• Total Time will be 4 hours.
• Participants need to code their solutions in Cairo-lang and deploy their contracts to goerli-testnet.
• Participants need to verify their contracts on Voyager or Starkscan.co and submit their contract address in the submission field(answer box) of the relevant question.
• Unverified contracts will not be accepted.

Winner Determination

• The time limit for the competition is 4 hours, participants who fail to submit answers in the given time are disqualified from the competition.
• Accuracy and time are important factors, one should aim to solve the questions with the highest accuracy in the least amount of time.
• A points system is put in place, the points are based on the accuracy of solutions which are judged by the Judges for this contest.
  For time we rely on the timestamp data that is provided by the chain.
• In case, 2 or more participants end up having equal points, they will share the prize and position.

Rules and Regulations

• Teaming is not allowed, participants found guilty of teaming up will be disqualified.
• Tampering with the platform, users found tampering with the Arena module will be disqualified.
• Participants can refer to the web for help.
• Using more than one Participant Profile to compete will result in disqualification.
• Academic misconduct like copying/cheating will not be tolerated and result in disqualification.
