I’m Dom Bello and This is How I Work
- Location: Duluth MN
- Current Gig: Full Time Student at the University of Minnesota Duluth
- One word that describes how you work: Strategically

What apps/software/tools can’t you live without? Why?
Spotify, Microsoft office, Venmo, Google Drive.
What’s your best time-saving shortcut/life hack?
Planning ahead and using my calendar on my phone has really helped me be more successful with my day to day tasks. I always try to plan out my homework assignments by how long each assignment will take me, and get it completed ahead of time so I’m not stressing about it later.
What everyday thing are you better at than everyone else? What’s your secret?
I make a pretty mean peanut butter and jelly sandwich. My 96 year old grandfather once told me about how he read that Elvis Presley’s favorite sandwich was a peanut butter, and jelly sandwich with sliced bananas and bacon. I tried it and loved it but I usually just add the bananas. He calls it the Elvis Presley but I call it the Grandpa Supreme.

What do you listen to while you work?
I listen to a wide variety of things from Wu Tang Clan to Kenny G but lately I’ve been doing alot of head banging to Pantera, and Metallica. The raw power from the vocals combined with the heavy sound of their guitars gets me amped to do some Corporate Finance homework.
What are you currently reading?
Crossing the Line: The Outrageous Story of a Hockey Original
Are you more of introvert or an extrovert?
I think I’m more introverted because alot of the things I enjoy doing, I do by myself like drawing, playing guitar and listening to music. I still enjoy being around people and participating in team sports like lacrosse, or just going out with friends.
What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?
“Don’t make decisions when you’re angry. Don’t make promises when you’re happy.”
Where do you find inspiration and new ideas?
I find a lot of inspiration from listening to music, reading biographies, and just talking with friends and family about my goals and aspirations.
Is there anything else you’d like to add that might be interesting to readers?
I moved to the Upper Midwest from Oregon and plan on one day moving after school. One my favorite places in Oregon is Bend.
