Dear Erick,
thank you very much for the inspiring insight you gave us into your fantastic modern workflow.
I myself started using Concepts on a 12.9" ipad pro with the apple pencil in december 2016 and it really changed my daily work as an architect since.
And thing is that after graduating 21 years ago at the ETH school of architecture in Zurich Switzerland I now for the first time felt that time is ready to start sketching digitally…. the tools now have the necessary sensitivity for a professional use.
Funny enough I use concepts exactly in the same way as you and my first client she loved it as we could move arround furniture in her livingroom (on the drawing) like in a dollhouse.
However there is one thing which I wonder on how you did. It’s the question on how to import a PDF drawing in a certain scale in concepts to be able to take measurments.
In the actual status of concepts there is no advanced PDF possible.
I hope the so fantastic innovative TopHatch team will work on that :-)
My own solution for that problem is, that I create the necessary Drawing in PDF format and note the exact measurments of the PDF in reality.
Then I import it to concepts… transform it there until it has the same original measurments…. and the I go to settings and set scale to the original scale of the drawing.
In that way everything I see and draw on top of that is “in scale”.
So you can go in precision mode and take any measurments or when you zoom to 100% you can even use a real ruler on the ipad like in the old days… just great!
so my wish to TopHatch is to develop advanced PDF features…. and there will wait thousands of architects all over the world to start using concepts.
Thank’s for this fantastic innovation which you achieved until today…. it’s mind blowing :-)
Cheers
Dominik
