As a local Londoner, Rose Cora Perry is an artist who is diversified with creative ideas and deeply involved with many charitable organizations within our community. She is an experienced player who is passionate about helping youth by teaching them the “healing power” of music. She has once again put together a line up of talented musicians for her upcoming album, “Onto the Floor”. Here is the inside scoop on what you can expect!

Entitled, “Onto the Floor” the album is not simply a musical experience, but a narrative of where I’ve been, where I am and where I’m going artistically.

Touching on both personal and social issues, “Onto the Floor”’s message is one of hope, inspiration and connection with others through the universal language of music.

In your new album, which song has the most meaning to what is happening now within your life?

In 2010, I launched my debut solo album and its associated non-for-profit foundation entitled, MusicSaves, which aims to impart onto troubled youth the healing power of music. All proceeds from the sale of my merchandise and upcoming disc allow me to participate in non-for-profit events as a guest speaker: spreading my story of overcoming depression, an eating disorder and teenage bullying as a result of writing and performing songs.

What has been the most enjoyable part about making this album?

Like my first solo record, this album pays homage to all of the artists who’ve inspired me through various lyrical, melodic and rhythmic references. If you’re curious about why it’s called “Onto the Floor”, have a listen to “Off Of the Pages” and you may just find the answer.

Will there be any videos for any songs on this album?
