Value Yourself
Let’s start with a question: how much do you value yourself?
A lot? If so, brilliant. Continue to value yourself and who you are because no one else will. Not a lot? Why? Who else will tell you your valuable over themselves? Truth is, no one will.
Having value in yourself is also having self belief. I recently said on my Facebook that “If you have self belief and confidence in yourself, those who don’t will call it arrogance.” It’s a 1000 percent true.
Think of anyone who you consider successful or an influence to your life. Do you think they value and believe in themselves? Of course they do. It’s what makes them, them. It’s why they attract unique opportunities and experiences because people want to work with them because they express who they really are. And, they’re proud of it.
Having self belief makes everything feel, smell and taste better. Wake up tomorrow and say to yourself I’m great, I’m grateful, I’m lucky and I’m me. Continue to influence your mind with positive thoughts about what makes you unique, valuable and a great asset to your life, career, job, surroundings, friends and family.
You will soon discover the value that you attain as a person. It’s what makes you who you are and that’s brilliant. Another thought I posted on my Facebook recently “Don’t aim for perfection. Aim to be the best possible version of yourself.” Start thinking this way and you’ll truly begin to value and love yourself more, for the person you are and the person you want to become.
Don’t compare yourself to others neither. Only you can be you and only they can be themselves. Only seek for influence, inspiration and advice from others. For example, if you want to be a greater coffee barrister, then find someone who has more experience — they will help nurture your skill set to the point where you become greater.
If you want to be a millionaire. Find one and listen to what they advise you to do with your life. They should know, they’re a millionaire. Seek for value in others and you’ll discover value within yourself with the help from them.
This applies both to your personal and profession life. So begin to think about how you value yourself. Why you value who you are and the fact that being yourself makes you unique and valuable to the world that surrounds you and to the craft, career or job that you dedicate your life to.
Think about it. Value yourself. If you are, continue to do so.
