Baton Rouge-based real estate agent Donald Auzine joined Burns and Co. in 2018. When not working with buyers and sellers, Donald Auzine maintains a personal interest in music.

Louisiana is known for its vibrant music scene, and Baton Rouge is no exception. For 25 years, the city has hosted its legendary Blues Festival, featuring some of the most iconic local and international blues musicians. The festival highlights swamp blues, a slow-tempo genre that originated in 1950s Baton Rouge.

Since 2002, the Baton Rouge Blues Foundation has managed the Blues Festival and organized other events celebrating the city’s rich musical heritage. The festival is open to the public free-of-charge and attracts more than 40,000 blues enthusiasts from all corners of the globe.

Alongside live music, concertgoers can purchase local art and souvenirs and sample traditional Southern dishes. Attendees interested in supporting the event can receive a commemorative pin in exchange for a $10 donation. Participants seeking VIP status can also buy an All-Weekend Experience Pass.
