Time for a ten for ten year plan.

  • Take ten trips a year with family
  • Exercise ten minutes every day
  • Teach my kids Java & Smalltalk
  • Visit ten different countries
  • Read ten books a year
  • Write ten blogs a year
  • Contribute to ten OSS projects
  • Teach 10K devs how to code
  • Build a Smalltalk OSS project
  • Reach 10K followers on Twitter

Say it, do it, be it

You must understand, young Hobbit, it takes a long time to say anything in Old Entish. And we never say anything unless it is worth taking a long time to say.

— Treebeard

I’ve never been a fan of New Year’s resolutions. A commitment of a decade seems more my style. I will be completely satisfied if I only accomplish the first five bullets. Anything beyond that is a bonus. I will approach the next decade with as much passion, patience and persistence as I can muster.

Have a Safe, Healthy and Happy New Year!

I am a Project Lead and Committer for the Eclipse Collections OSS project at the Eclipse Foundation. Eclipse Collections is open for contributions. If you like the library, you can let us know by starring it on GitHub.
