The Simple Habit That Can Change Your Life

Great article, Benjamin, on a most important evergreen topic. I’ve been journaling since the 1960’s and have facilitated a workshop on using it to transform: recovery to thriving. I provide some techniques on indexing to be able to find those related entries, and etc.

Note that there is a difference between facilitating and leading a workshop.

Separately, I do the stream of consciousness writing, focusing on secrets, actions of mine that are not authentic, sexual fantasies, and the like. I never re-read this, but find that fast writing has a therapeutic/cathartic effect.

One important use for me of the regular journaling is development of my intuition. This is the other side of the brain chatter you speak of, not the critic, but the helpful part.

I am looking forward to your upcoming articles on this topic.
