You’re dead on. As an outsider observing this election from India, I could see that this pattern was going to play out. Nonetheless, your behavior over the past few months has been a pleasant surprise. Your idealism and passion puts you a cut above the general political scene in the US. I’d even go as far as to say you’re one of the most honorable politicians I’ve ever known of. You have repeatedly fought for your ideals even when others told you to tone things down, you have shown tremendous respect for your voter base (respect that even I questioned at times), and with this move at endorsing Hillary Clinton, I’m convinced that you’re more beholden to your ideals than anything else, a trait that is a serious rarity in the world of politics. You didn’t bow out until you’d thrown every last punch you could for your policy positions, and even now when you’ve chosen to be pragmatic and endorsed the lesser of two evils, it is a pragmatism I respect. You wouldn’t abandon your values for political mileage, nor would you try to vindictively take the country down with you. You are fully committed to ensuring a brighter future for America, and I’m proud of your exceptional idealism and dedication, Bernie Sanders.
