From world record breaking heights and sights, to a mall that has its own concert hall, cinema, aquarium, with an amusement park next door. Lotte seems to have it all in the Jamsil area of Seoul. Today, we will be taking a look inside of the Lotte World Mall and Lotte World Adventure, views from the Lotte World Tower, a walk around Olympic Park and a stroll along Seokchonhosu Lake and Songpa Naru Park.
Lotte World Tower
If you come to the Jamsil area as a visitor, you have to go to the Lotte World Tower. The tower currently holds 3 Guinness World Records for Tallest double deck elevator, fastest double-deck lift, and highest glass-floor observation deck.
It only takes 60 seconds to get from the bottom to the top of the tower and there are breathtaking views of Seoul. There will also be a special show once you’ve arrived.
The tower has a lot of places and room to have a 360 view of the area and there are places to eat, drink, and buy souvenirs. You can also have an experience outside in the viewing area on one of the floors. The ticket cost 27,000 KRW, but you can get it cheaper on an online reservation on their website or on Trazy.
Olympic Park
From the 1988 Olympics held in Seoul, Olympic Park stands as a popular place to visit and walk around. When you first enter the park you are met at Peace Square where you will be able to see the Olympics flame still burning and all of the countries flags that participated in 1988.
The park also contains a smaller cultural art park where there are museums for visitors to see, a leisure sports park where you can take sports lessons, and an environment Eco-park that is home to many wild animals. It is a great time to visit on a beautiful day in the summer.
