we’re excited af to announce we’re working with nouns dao on a limited-edition nouns-branded non-fungible streetwear drop!
heres the breakdown
nouns x dopamine
recently we posted a proposal together with prominent nouns community member apenoun pitching our plans for a nouns-branded drop to nouns dao, which u can access here. the proposal passed and now we’re hard at work making this drop a reality
so why do we really wanna work with nouns? well dopamine is the first nouns-fork to incorporate fashion, with the mission to empower web3 projects, nft artists, and collectors through a community-owned ecosystem for non-fungible streetwear. we’re crypto natives with a passion for streetwear culture and web3 technology, aiming to bridge the gap between these two worlds
originally inspired by nouns’ creative governance and community model, we want to become an incubator for up-and-coming streetwear designers and nft artists and recreate the nouns-fuelled creative renaissance, but geared towards the budding web3 streetwear industry
with this collab we’re aiming to push the nounish culture forward and proliferate the nouns meme and brand across the metaverse and into mainstream pop culture using a powerful vehicle for hype: streetwear
and not only that; the majority of the proceeds of the primary sales will flow back to the nouns dao treasury
designs
dopamine is working closely with nouns community member and holder apenoun (remember those dope nouns skateboards? that was apenoun) to design the garments for this drop. the designs will feature noggles and the nouns slogan “one noun, every day, forever.” around 500 pieces will be made in total, featuring a combination of t-shirts, hoodies, and various other apparel
quality-wise, this drop will have a premium feel reminiscent of brands such as fear of god or acne studios
microchip
all garments will feature a nouns-branded patch embedded with our dopamine microchip. this is a cryptographic NFC chip that powers all our non-fungible streetwear, connecting the physical garments to their associated nfts
so how does this all work?
we’ve seen a couple iterations of trying to connect the physical and the digital. there’s the classic redemption mechanism, where the user redeems an nft for the physical version. the drawback here is that the physical item and nft are not connected on-chain in any way. more recently, projects are using NFC chips and QR codes to connect the digital to the physical
dopamine NFC chips take the next step to full decentralization by being cryptographic wallets themselves, meaning they’re capable of signing transactions. this allows us to make garments directly traceable through an on-chain registry and even enables these physical garments to own digital assets themselves
bundles
with these chips we aim to set a new standard for bundling physical garments and digital assets
for the nouns drop this means that after purchase buyers will first receive the physical nouns-branded garments, scan the embedded microchip with a white-labeled app confirming ownership, after which they will receive the bundled nfts which include a digital version of the nouns garment and other nouns-related digital art and/or perks

dopamineland @ art basel
all of this will come together at our next irl event at art basel miami in december, which we have dubbed dopamineland
there will be a nouns-branded area, fully immersing visitors in the nouns non-fungible streetwear collection and featuring on-site activations giving users direct interaction with the nouns bundles and their physical-digital features
nouns non-fungible streetwear will be available for purchase at the event and online via credit card or ETH. For online orders, shipments will be handled through shopify
all nouns holders will have priority access to the drop, after which we will open the sale to the general public
as mentioned above, 85% of all primary sales proceeds will flow back to the nouns treasury
