There was buzz in Cannes that Naomi Campbell celebrated her 47th birthday aboard a 282-foot private yacht las week. But Campbell’s reps say the supermodel had nothing to do with the event — she was instead focused this year on her Fashion for Relief runway show and fundraiser during the Cannes Film Festival.

Some pals of Campbell’s went to the boat bash thinking it was her party, and there was even word Campbell was there, but her rep explained that the model did not attend the party and had nothing to do with it. “Naomi was never on that boat,” the rep told us. “She had nothing to do with that party.”

An invitation went out during Cannes with an image of pair of sexy lips that said: “You are cordially invited to Naomi Campbell’s birthday party,” and that the event was at a private location. The RSVP address for the event was at FashionForRelief.com — whereas Campbell’s charity’s address is listed on her Twitter page as FashionForRelief.org.

Instead we’re told Campbell celebrated her birthday this year with her annual Fashion for Relief show, where a guest of honor was Queen Rania Al-Abdullah of Jordan. Walking in the show with Campbell for charity were fellow supermodels Heidi Klum, Kendall Jenner, Bella Hadid, Jourdan Dunn and Kate Moss. The event which included a silent auction benefited Save The Children.

Campbell has in past years traditionally celebrated her birthday to coincide with the Cannes Film Festival. But a source said, “Her birthday this year was the success of Fashion for Relief.” The event was in a hangar at a private airport. Also in attendance were Leonardo DiCaprio, Mary J. Blige and Donatella Versace.

Among other annual events in Cannes this year, billionaire Paul Allen toned down his annual over-the-top yacht party by bringing out his “small” boat, the 303-foot Tatoosh, rather than his usual 414-foot monster, Octopus.

Unlike past parties, there was no theme, but starry guests Monday included Salma Hayek, Pamela Anderson and Lindsay Lohan. Allen did, per tradition, provide the entertainment by playing guitar with a band.

Perhaps still confused from her Oscars flub, Faye Dunaway snapped at one guest who asked why she was in Cannes: “To learn about movies.”
