As a smart business person, you should read this!

Do you remember how 2SURE penetrated the market?

What positioning strategy was that? Situational positioning strategies, I discussed this in our PRO classes!

With a superior hand sanitizer, 2SURE entered the market, and they stood way too gallant, that any other hand was counterfeit.

And it was 250 Naira, we all talked about it, organizations bought because it was cheap, but they kept buying because that was the most valuable 250 naira product.

Today, they have bathing soap, laundry soap, dishwasher liquid soap etc.

The entry wouldn’t be that easy if they didn’t come through the back door, that was the easiest backstage to penetration.

Now!

As a smart business person, think of a smart entry to the market.

During the bread-a-thon, I believe we have small businesses that make bread, it was the perfect time to position strategically, if they had a solid internal brand structure.

That was the perfect time to carry execute outbound marketing, put your product to the faces of many people.

During the “Share a Coke with” campaign, it would have been a perfect opportunity to position your zobo, Tiger nut drink etc.

As a smart business person, always be alerted, opportunities full everywhere, na you no dey look.

Even this BBN, tasks are initiated by known brands, some of the businesses have similarities with yours, it’s a perfect time to position strategically.

Often times, I talk about strategic positioning, but it’s time I talk about smart positioning, as it is also a form of strategic positioning.
