The OBSESSION with Berlin, time and time management

When more is just more… and nothing else

Yes, living in Berlin is the bomb. Or at least everybody seems to think so… when I mention the word “Berlin” in Italy, everybody is suddenly bewitched by the idea of living in a kind of city that never sleeps… a kind of European New York.
The thing is yes, Berlin can be an exciting city — especially when you’re in town as a tourist. It really feels great to cruise the bars/clubs in Kreuzberg and Friedrichshain when it’s summer, 30 degrees Celsius and people literally invading the streets, music & alcohol everywhere, etc.

But what happens when the weekend is over? or the vacation? or the SUMMER?… I will tell you: Germany returns to its old self again… and Berlin is no stranger to the traditional way Germany is structured. Don’t get me wrong: I’ve been living in this country for more than 9 years now and I’ve experienced loads of positive things (especially professionally speaking). That’s precisely why I can also be objective enough about life here: because I got to know it in all shapes and sizes and in different cities (7 already) where I studied, worked, met loads of people of all nationalities and origins — truly my favorite aspect of life in Germany and Berlin: the “multi-kulti” situation (which in theory is omnipresent, but in practice… less — the AfD being the 3rd political force in the…
