Bank of America — Investment Banking Job Simulation Certificate on Forage

This job simulation involves five tasks.

Task 1: Understanding the Company: Historical Financial Performance & SWOT Analysis

Task 2: Strategic Alternatives Available to the Company

Task 3: Financial Modeling

Task 4: Communicating Successfully

Task 5: The Art of Building Long-Term Relationships

Welcome to another free investment banking job simulation on Forage, but this time the practical training comes from experts at Bank of America.

Similar to my review of the JPMorgan Investment Banking Job Simulation on Forage, this job simulation is part of a career path.

In Task 1, I learned how to use a 10-K to prepare a financial summary in Excel while identifying threats for a SWOT analysis to determine a business’s competitive position.

Task 2 involves identifying potential acquisition targets for the client, while Task 3 explores sensitivity analysis, terminal value, price value, and the DCF valuation model method for equity value and share value in Excel (this is the most valuable part).

Lastly, Task 4 challenges you to prepare a report slide that shows summarized key information, displaying your created charts in Excel showing the acquisition target’s EBITDA each year and revenue by geography.

Overall, one of the valuable aspects I gained from this simulation is access to resources. Yes, the answer resources are free, and this includes the Excel templates used in each problem, provided for free as well. In addition to the knowledge gained, I acquired practical know-how on the job and its processes.

You can check and try it out too for free.

Ciao!

Please note that all job simulations on Forage are free and ungraded. However, each simulation is provided by the corresponding company, meaning all tasks, problems, and answers come directly from the company. This is designed to give you an accurate representation of what it’s like to work at that specific company and perform day-to-day tasks as if you were already on the job.

Upon completion of each simulation, you will receive a certificate acknowledging your active participation. This certificate will include a resume snippet, interview tips, and skill upgrades, although these are not the main benefits.

Now, onto the most important part: upon completion, you will gain access to the company’s talent network. You will receive updates when your chosen company has openings, and if you are among the first to notice a ‘Hiring now’ status, you may have the opportunity to participate in the screening process.
