Why do I feel so deeply unsympathetic about Dorothy’s post?

Did you read the article? I’m not angry that my children saw a violent film. They’re pretty mature and can handle a lot of grown up material. I’m angry that they have a bunch of women in this film but still treat them like objects and that my daughter (and all the girls in her generation) are being sold this crap in the guise of girl power. I want something smarter and better. I want the movie they advertised. And if you read it I say I’m glad I took them to see it because we had a good conversation.
