Not all homeless people need supportive services! Many — especially families — just need safe housing that they can afford. The “but what about services????” argument is made by people who (probably subconsciously) think that homeless people aren’t “regular” people in a shitty situation, that there is some special reason that they are homeless (and that the arguer, by extension, is never going to be homeless because they are the regular person that the homeless are not).
