Hope

Every girl lived for the ball, the freedom, the escape

A touch of society for a chore-filled girl,

dreaming of a long white dress for her beautiful shape

She gawks at the prince as he gives her a twirl

spinning and spinning till her dreams spun true

and nothing could fall but her hair in a curl

She danced like a princess up until her queue;

the clock dinged midnight, she knew what that meant,

so out she ran without her slipper that flew

Back home to the evils to clean she went

Simply wishing to make it without any troubles

But stepmother had caught her, to the floors she was sent

nags from one, threats from other; stepsisters in doubles

so she kept in her tears but her faith flew away

‘cause at this point it seemed that her life was in rubbles

Poor Cinderella could not stand another day

so off to find her prince she did sneak away.
