Where Are We Now?

It doesn’t take a genius to realise that humanity is in a pickle. “Trapped” by a virus that the vast majority (99.6%) seem to survive and a confused government only offering what seem to be ineffective and restrictive solutions for moving forward with our lives, it’s difficult to see how our lives can get back to a better place where we can live with true freedom.

When situations generate a huge amount of fear for so many, and this one sure as heck does, then it’s always wise just take a step or even a few steps backwards and reflect…

Some years ago, I remember writing a newsletter that was titled “Thrive or Survive”. Whilst I can’t remember exactly what I wrote though I probably would have discussed the fact that most people liked and wanted the idea of thriving in their life. I remember that I did a small survey on a local high street, and 10 out of people said they wanted to thrive but also admitted that they weren’t actually thriving in their lives. And when I asked them if they would consider making changes in their lives in order to thrive thy also hesitated…and err hesitated….and

We might have thought that lock down was starting to break down, only to find ourselves suddenly sitting with the “threat” of a second wave, a mask wearing mandate and a slogan accompanying it that says “We are all in this together” and suggestions that those not wearing a mask need to be marginalised from…

With lock-down only slowly easing in the UK, and the prospect of overseas holidays becoming increasingly remote for most people, many people may find their state of mind slipping yet further downwards without their annual summer trip to look forward to. In fact, the UK government has actually warned us against making holiday plans just yet, so the possibility of a summer holiday seems pretty bleak for many.

If you’re like me and you’re interested in the holistic arena and read a lot on this topic, you will no doubt see many workshops, courses and other sorts of programmes that address the idea of manifestation. (I send a few myself as you may have seen and read). Often those ads will relate to abundance and money or sometimes relationships and love and other popular areas that many people are keen to address in their lives.

I have a golden rule when I look at things of this nature… and that’s if those programmes are not addressing the root…
