Spirituality is not same as Religion. Religions have they own specific rules or dogmas. One religion may have different rules and dogmas than the other one has. But in spirituality the principles are universal and they are at the core of all religions.
Applying Spirituality means treating others the way you would like to be treated and doing nothing that you would not like to be done onto you. This is the Golden rule.
The Virtues:
- Loving-Kindness & Non-Injury
- Generosity and Non-Stealing
- Objectivity, Honesty and Non-Falsehood
- Constancy of Aim and effort & Non-Laziness
- Moderation ( Self Mastery) & Non- Excessiveness
As long as one respect and practice Universal principles he is a Spiritual being and he may at the same time be Religious too. So, Spirituality is a common source of all religions.
Cheers,
