Twenty years ago, a few environmentalists were attempting to wake the world up to the utter stupidity of using up a valuable natural resource a million times faster than it was being created.

I remember they were laughed at when they spoke of oil companies soon having to squeeze rocks to get oil.

And still the utter stupidity continues as we use up future generation’s ability to create plastics, without which our modern electrical civilization cannot continue. And still we needlessly burn fossil residue as fuel instead of conserving it. And still we base entire economies and wage wars to secure dwindling stocks of what we can, within ten years, almost do without.
