The God that Cannot Fail

The Bible is absolutely chock full of promises. “Do this and God will do this . . .”. “Do that and this will turn out this way . . .”. “Don’t do this and this won’t happen . . .“

Promises. Promises. Promises. Sometimes they just “don’t seem to be working.”

But, hold on, this IS God we are talking about. How can that be?

Isn’t He the God. . .who CANNOT FAIL?

Hmm.

A little over six months ago the Lord had me send the following email to a close friend of mine, who was asking the VERY SAME EXACT QUESTION.

This is how I responded to his question (paraphrased):

Brother,

Have you ever heard this, supposedly, true story?

During the days of the dirigible. You know the big, helium filled forerunner to the Goodyear blimp thing. Several decades ago in the country of Germany. Remember, the way I heard it now, TRUE story . . . o.k.?

The story goes that they were still learning how to handle the things (the dirigibles). It was in the early developmental stages of the big, giant helium filled ‘monsters’. They were still learning how to maneuver the things around, docking them, anchoring them and steering them properly. Supposedly, a WHOLE lot…
