The Video Below is the actual video interview filmed with my Samsung Galaxy S5. I used a tripod and shot this video horizontally. The added option was using a handheld shotgun microphone.
Lessons Learned and some video interview takeaways
- When doing live video interviews make sure your surrounding support the video shoot, audio quality and framing the subjects are important. In this video the lighting could have been better, you can see the sunlight reflection. Know your environment from audio noise levels and audience interaction.
- Have fun, be authentic and spontaneous but have a plan. Video Content is important but the context of your message is just as important. Are you delivering any value to your audience? Is there a call to action? Keep it short simple and to the point. Is your interview message relevant?
- Keep it social with twitter. Utilize text characters in your tweets to support the video. Use event hashtags etc.
