I think there’s a reason that the human mind is predisposed to learning language. And thank the Great Spirit that it is. I think of this latency, this pent up desire to speak, like the contents of a champagne bottle. The sooner you pop the cork the better. The explosion of sheer joy which follows is dizzying( like drinking your first glass of fizzy, why do I remember this and not so many other things?). The possibilities, endless. The start of a journey you know will last a lifetime. Actually not a journey. A love affair. I would be no more than an empty vessel without words, a husk of a man. The champagne bottle after the contents have been consumed. And what could be sadder than that!?
