AT THE LIBRARY: Card crafting, cooking class, kids activities set

The Chesterfield and Ira township libraries are offering activities and programs for all ages, ranging from yoga and a card crafting session to a game day for kids and a cooking class. Here’s a look at what’s coming up:

Chesterfield Township Library

  • A card crafting session is scheduled to run from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. May 19. A $20 fee to cover the cost of supplies and materials is due the day of the program. Refreshments will be served. Registration is required.
  • Teens who enjoy graphic novels, anime, manga, video games, movies, RPGs and more can join Geek Club from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. May 22. Registration is requested, and drop-ins are also welcome.
  • A “4:30 Funtime” activity for children in kindergarten through fifth grade will run from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. March 21. “Game Day” will feature a variety of games. Registration is requested, and drop-ins are also welcome.
  • Learn summer recipes during “Summer Foods Cooking Class,” led by Fran Salvatore, a certified chef from Pamela’s Catering, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. May 25. Registration is required.
  • Participants of all experience levels can register for a session of “Slow Flow Yoga” set to run from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. May 25. A $5 fee is due at the time of class. Participants are asked to bring a mat to class, if possible. Registration is required.

Ira Township Library

  • Family story time will feature stories, music and crafts for children ages 5 and younger and their caregivers at 10 a.m. Fridays.
  • Join the library to create a Lego masterpiece at “Block Party Lego Fun” at 5:30 p.m. May 18. Bring a friend or meet a new one.
  • Learn about viewing and organizing files and folders in Windows 10 using File Explorer at 6 p.m. May 18. Registration is required.
  • Adults of all experience levels can join the Nifty Knitters with crafts of all kinds at 2 p.m. May 23. Bring a project to work on.
