Digital Leadership Discussions — “Should I Accept That Social Media Connection Request?”, Plus How To Use Linkedin Video 2017 08 25
Welcome to the Digital Leadership Facebook Live series. I’m Doyle Buehler, and my goal is to help you better understand and pursue what matters most in your digital business, and how to make a difference with your digital strategy through enhancing and embracing your digital leadership. I help enterprise and entrepreneurs scale, grow and disrupt their business and sales through digital leadership, and I’m the author of the book on digital strategy — The Digital Delusion. The overall purpose? To answer the one important question, “What Real world digital strategies actually work for my business?” Of course, there’s no one-size-fits-all, but the goal here is to help you decide which strategies can work best for you. In today’s show I’m talking about:
- What does a connection request reallly mean on social media, and should I accept them? Or, should I clear out people I don’t really connect with and tell everyone?
- How does linkedin Video work, and what you need to know to set it up properly on this new platform
If you are interested in growing a business and your personal brand, then yes, absolutely. Every person that you connect with is a future opportunity that you may be able to explore. And when I say opportunity, I’m not necessarily meaning just a “sale” for you, but something also mutually beneficial. What if you could help someone else, or what if they could help you?
Just imagine all many skilled people that you can get in contact with, at any time, at any moment. If you don’t think this is really useful and powerful, then sadly you’ve missed the point about social media.
Some things to consider:
- Deleting them and talking about it? Are you ooking for sympathy or are you an attention seeker?
- What if we ignored people in real life?
- Purpose is to connect
- In 5 years it will be completed disrupted and different — look at some of the habits of the so-called millenial generation?
- What about the big influencers — Elon Musk, Bill Gates, Noah Kagan..
- We are in the age of personal branding
Here are a number of screenshots to help you navigate setting up videos on Linkedin. And yes, it’s pretty easy.
