I'm not from the US and I've spent plenty of time pointing out the absurdity of political binaries. I suggest you have a skim through Brand's recent content if you think it is balanced or nuanced. I personally used to listen to his Under the Skin podcasts before lockdowns and I think he was both of those things in that period, his interview with Candace Owens for example (i think around 2018) was an excellent example of good conversation between people who disagree. Since then he has gone down a mad rabbit hole and not come back.
