What If God Had Already Saved Nigeria?

In Nigeria, some of the most common phrases you might ever come across are “Only God can save us” or “God will save us someday” or “God help us”. You hear it in the slums, you hear it in schools and you also hear it in offices. We pride ourselves in being a religious nation even though hypocrisy is the order of the day.
If only we could stop for a moment, pause the world around us and ask ourselves this one pertinent question, “What if God had already saved us?” Yes, what if he has already helped us? What if he has provided all we need to fight and rise from the ashes to become the glorious nation we believe is trapped in the figments of our imagination.
You might be wondering, that can’t be possible. You might try to convince yourself that if that was the case, things would have been better already. I am sure you are aware by now that Nigeria is blessed with as much natural resources as we need to soar like eagles but did you know that we are also blessed with quality minds?
What if you were the answer to the prayers of millions of Nigerians that have come and gone? What if you are that answer you have been looking for? What if God has already saved us by giving us YOU? What if you are all we need to rise above the ashes?
Though a religious nation, we tend to limit the call of God to religious work. We tend to believe that any man called of God was called to be a priest or pastor or something like that but do you know that God could call you to rescue your/a nation? Ask the biblical Moses and Joseph.
What if those skills and talents that you use for monetary gains are also what’s needed to save this country?
What if that job is where you will get the experience you need to save Nigeria?
What if that relationship is how you get the partners you need to save this nation?
What if what we really need in this nation is your honesty?
What if you could start where you are, doing what you are doing?
What if all we need is YOU?
What if you are the answer to all our prayers?
Can you honestly say that the life you are living right now is worthy of that calling?
A wise one once said “Think on these things”
It’s never late until it’s too late.
