That AOL UI really took me back (this is the one I remember though).

I think both the Super Mario 3 and PUBG interfaces are successful because they give you a semi-omniscient viewpoint which allows for a richer experience (you’re able to see and do things that aren’t really possible in first or third person). I feel like if you can pop back and forth between those views pretty seamlessly — you’re going to have a good time.

It seems like there are similar successes in Splatoon 2. Now I’m even more interested in getting a Switch and trying out some of the new games.
