2016 — The top 10 consumer products I love

While none of these products are new to 2016 (or 2015), I think these are the products I’m most excited in 2016.

  1. Amazon Echo

I bought this for $80 in January 2015, and I could not be happier. It’s the rare tech device that is getting MUCH better with age. If anyone is interested in developing a skill for Alexa, please reach out to me. This device will be in our future for the next 5 years.

2. Airbnb

Airbnb is nothing new, but gone are the days of it being a “weird” thing to do. And social impact, I’ve talked to at least 3 people who were able to leave jobs and pursue dreams while hosting people.

3. Google Now

There aren’t very many Google products I like anymore (besides search obviously), but Google Now’s ability to give me the right information is uncanny

4. Fidelity Jeans

Every day I wear these jeans, I am just a little happy

5. Amazon Fire TV

It’s the best cord cutter TV experience on the market right now. And I’ve been through A LOT.

6. Sling TV

The app is not a great experience, but the stability is finally starting to get there. Sometimes, I wonder if this disqualifies me as a cord cutter.

7. Founder’s All Day IPA

The most day drinkable IPA

8. SmartNews

My goto place for news and since they added the social feature, I’ve been hooked

9. Blue Apron

Food tech is starting to mature, and while this is an established one, it’s been most helpful in keeping my weight down

10. Sprig

It’s a great concept, and I love it. But I wish they’d open up their platform a bit and realize subscribers are not going to eat EVERY meal there.
