Sugar-free, Dairy-free, Delicious Creamy Frozen Dessert Recipe
Beat the summer heat with this creamy, low-carb, sugar-free, dairy-free frozen dessert — no ice cream maker or churning required! If you are skeptical about the taste without the dairy creaminess, you’re in for a surprise! This is a great treat to play around with using different flavors.
Enjoy this quick and easy, delicious dessert without the guilt.
Ingredients — put into a blender:
- ½ avocado
- ¼ cup chia seeds
- about ¼ cup of coconut milk (adjust amount based on desired thickness)
- Stevia to your liking of sweetness
- 2–4 ice cubes
Blend well.
Be creative with the exact amount of ingredients. The goal is to just get it to the consistency of frozen yogurt. If it’s too thick, more milk. If it’s too runny, less milk, or more avocado or chia.
Please note that it takes a few minutes for the true consistency to reveal itself because, as the chia seeds expand and soak up the moisture, it will thicken.
That’s the base. Now it’s time to add some flavor.
Choose whatever you like!
Chocolate ice cream — add some raw cacao powder or unsweetened cocoa
Chocolate + peanut butter — add peanut butter to the chocolate ice cream
Blueberry — add frozen blueberries (no need to add ice cubes to this one)
Frozen Bananas — add ½–1 frozen banana
I stop the blender and taste it several times, adding a few of this or that, until it comes out just how I like it, so I encourage you to do the same. Sometimes I even have this for dinner because, why not?! It’s made with nothing but healthy ingredients. Enjoy!
