All words are metaphors if they are analysed from the perspective of their etymology. All of them were related to power to suggest a narrative. Each word has its own narrative. For example courage comes from cour/cord - meaning hearth. Courage means practically braveheart.

As a psychiatrist I analyse automatically and mindfully what patients - and people say. Thus I can recognize the Freudian slips. From this perspective I can understand why they say that, even when they have no idea of what has driven their actions or their words,
