I’m inspired by your strong spirit and positive attitude. And I’m excited to discover your brand of writing and its connection with music. It sounds like you may be helping those around you with your good nature as much as they are supporting you. Without wanting to make this about me, I’d like to share how your piece resonated with me and the connection I found with your writing. I’ve recently lost my father, who out-lived my mother by 16 years.
My mom was born in Mexico and had a natural ability to sing. Her music genre of choice was Ranchera music, mariachi-style sounds and lyrics. So growing up whenever she was in a melancholy mood, or full of rage, or in a state of depression or as happy as she could be, she’d communicate through songs and we’d all be made aware of her feelings.
Fast forward a few years, and I find myself doing the same thing. The difference being that I am not blessed with a singing voice like my mother. But I passionately love music. So without knowing titles, I can always find that song that will help me convey to others how they impact me. In wishing you a speedy recovery and wanting to thank you for sharing your story, this is how you impacted me today:
As you shared about those who have supported you, it reminded me to focus on those who stepped up and are stepping up during a personally difficult time.
Thank you for your time and for inspiring me to focus on what is good. I wish you the best!
