Benefits of smoking, more work for your doctors.
Let’s discuss what will happen if you don’t smoke
A 40-year-old male comes to an emergency with painless gross blood in urine at 4 am in morning.
Got a call from the emergency room
ER DOCTOR: Doctor a young male has come to the emergency with gross blood in the urine.
Blood investigations were ordered and he was advised admission.
His routine scan showed a large bladder clot, which after bladder wash showed growth on the left side or bladder.
He underwent endoscopic surgery and resection of bladder growth (which fortunately came out as low-grade cancer a week later on the biopsy report )
Next day in the morning
Kunal: Thank you, sir. I'm fine now
Me: Do you smoke?
Kunal: Smiles, and nodded yes :-)
Me: Please continue to smoke
Kunal: Sir ????
Me: If you continue to smoke, you will get more bladder growths and I will get more work.
But if stopped smoking, your chances of getting more cancers with reduce.
A lot of people will get less work if guys like you stopped smoking.
Kunal: Sir I promise I will not smoke now.
Me: but why?
Kunal: Sir I understand.
Me: Very Good.
Kunal came back after 6 months ( he has not smoked a single cigarette in the last 6 months )
Please understand Smoking has huge financial and health implications for you and your family. If you give up smoking now, your overall risk of getting cancers will go down. But if you want Cancer surgeons to flourish and have more work please continue to smoke and bless them with more work, while you enjoy your smoke.
