As discussed in our previous post, Dragonereum has the foundations for a cryptocollectible ecosystem that serves as the base for all features in the game. These foundations are the key to creating even more engaging gaming experiences for the community.

As you already know, for every fight your dragon wins, it is rewarded with Experience Points (XP). After the level of XP reaches a certain threshold, your dragon automatically advances up a level and earns DNA Points (DP).

Today we clarify the distinction between the two types of ‘Level Ups’:

  • Dragon Level Ups
  • Body Part Level Ups

Dragon Level Ups

Dragon Level Ups occur automatically after necessary XP levels are reached during fights and DP are distributed. Leveling Up will provide a dragon with the DP necessary to upgrade its skills or to breed. Maximum Level Up for a dragon is 10. On the 10th Level Up, you can spend DP on Special Peaceful Skills for your dragon.

Dragon profile

A Special Peaceful Skill allows users to earn in-game currency and offer skills to the community (more on this in following posts).

A higher level dragon requires more XP to level up. Costs are also higher for breeding higher level dragons, and the cost of breeding is just about the amount of DP earned during level up.

Every newly hatched dragon will begin at the first level.

Body Part Level Ups

Body Part Level Ups occur when a user spends earned DP on body part upgrades. These level ups are likely to be inherited by offsprings. Generally, an offspring will get an average of level ups from its parent dragons.

Dragon details

Body Part Level Ups do not alter the appearance of a dragon. Instead, they can be used to boost a certain skill. For example, upgrading wings to the next level will give +3 to speed.

Basic Skills

In Dragonereum, dragons have five Basic Skills:

  • Attack — affects the degree of damage a dragon can cause in fight.
  • Defense — measures the ability of a dragon to defend itself during a fight. If the dragon fights with a dragon which has less attack, defense determines the damage it can do to the weaker attacking dragon.
  • Stamina — measures maximum amount of health points and the speed of regeneration.
  • Speed — defines which dragons move first and each dragon’s maximum reach.
  • Intelligence — determines maximum amount of Mana, along with speed for regeneration and the probability of Special Attack or Special Defense being used in fights.

The total skills of a dragon are calculated by summing up all body parts increased by Level Ups. So if you upgrade the wings of a dragon, the total skills of a dragon will also receive a boost.

Now we are ready to head towards blockchain dragon battles!
