How we want to build a brand for Dragon Fam
“Attention is vital. It connects you with others. It makes you eager. Stay eager.”
To build a brand, we have to go where the attention is. If you want to be known, you can’t stay in your house. (Unless you want to become an internet celebrity.) You have to be where you will be seen.
For Dragon Fam we have a dual path in mind. We want to be a brand for both children and adults. Being a brand for kids also means that adults will like you in 20–30 years. So we not only have a 5-year business plan in mind, but actually a 30-year business idea. Take the Pokemon brand for example. With the Gameboy game and the series, the brand has burned itself into our hearts. I still associate it with a bunch of positive feelings today and it’s been more than 20 years since I came into contact with it. Of course, we don’t want to compare ourselves to Pokemon, but we can see what they did right.
Pokemon has sought children’s attention. And this was on the Gameboys, consoles and in front of the TV program in the afternoon at that time.
But what would be the equivalent of that today? In my opinion it’s currently Youtube, Tiktok and smartphone apps. These are the platforms that we must conquer to land in children’s hearts and fill them with happiness and joy.
So here’s what we envision post mint, to build a brand for decades: We want to have our own channel on Youtube with an animation team. The animation team is to produce a separate series for Dragon Fam and run the channel. Once kids are interested in Dragon Fam, a range of products will be waiting for their parents (and uncles like me!) on Amazon and other stores: books, coloring books, comics, toys and much more.
I know it from my own nephew. In order for him to finally get some rest and eat something, some series on YouTube has to be used first. And the characters from the series he loves have to end up in his room as books or toys. It’s a simple system that works well.
Parallel to the animated series on Youtube we will put a mobile game in production. Of course, kids love games on smartphones, and it’s another great way to cement the Dragon Fam brand in society.
There will also be a wide range of merchandise. Dragon Fam is suitable for both children and adults. And so the brand can also be carried into the world. While it’s cute kites and other fun things for the kids, it’s probably going to be something more Web3 style for the grown-ups.
Of course we will also strengthen our brand in the Web3 area. We want to have the best community in all of Web3 that doesn’t have to worry about floor price. With strong partnerships, we want to build a well-known brand for all Web3 enthusiasts.
Of course we are still at the very beginning of our journey, but this is the vision that we would like to gradually realize. In 30 years we see Dragon Fam as a well-known brand alongside Pokemon, Paw Patrol, Spongebob and other animated series. In the Web3 area we see ourselves as one of the top projects in the long term with an ever stronger and growing community, while the number of our original Dragon Fam NFTs will be limited to just 5000 forever. We will release more collections like the 3D version. However, we will give the most value forever to our original Dragon Fam NFTs.
