The spirit of Competition is locked up in our hearts. While we always pride our ability to outdo and outmaneuver those who are inimical to our interests, we limit our own growth by regulating our creative abilities to the drum beat of egoistic endeavors like being ‘better than the best’ out there.

Maybe the best became the best, because of reasons beyond our control, and the forces of nature and time colluding in their favor.

Learning to accept our flaws is the first step towards addressing them. The Human condition is riddled with flaws of all kinds, and i can think of 45 such manifestations of Pride in the human being which both hamper their intellectual and character growth.

Everyday i keep watch at the door of my heart , to see how these inner manifestations of pride are influencing my behavior and speech, thereby learning how to disengage myself from the path of self-defeat and vain pursuit.

I have used myself as the human subject in which i have noticed these flaws, at differing times in my life, though through life's twists and turns i have managed to address a few like Materialism and Laziness, do handsomely well to correct some like a lack of Articulation ability, and others like Tardiness and Impatience do not stress me out as much , in this stage of my life as a Solopreneur.

I list them below , in no particular order. While you go through this list , dear reader , try to disengage yourself from some of these manifestations of extreme pride, and look at the world as it is , not a place to judge oneself or others ,but accept the weakest among us , as belonging to the same family we are all a part of — The Human Race.
