I do think that race based questions will soon become unmanageable, because we are increasingly becoming a mixed race society. When my daughter, who is half Asian and half Caucasian, was born, I had to fill out a form from the hospital that asked me to check one, and only one box, for race. I checked two boxes and wrote a note saying there is no way I can check one because she is exactly 1/2 of both races.

What if she marries someone who is half African American and half Native American; what box will she check for her children? You can see how these simplistic checkbox questions for race will soon become obsolete.
