Our vibes are our energy and our energy introduces us even before we speak. The way we feel and the way we make others feel about us, the opportunities we attract in life are all results of our own vibes. If we sow the seeds of positive thinking into our minds, we can live a rewarding and fulfilling life. Positive thinking not only sees the invisible but also feels the intangible and achieves the impossible.

It’s fairly easy to be positive and see everything optimistically when things are going in one’s stride. The challenge is to remain positive when everything seems to be crumbling yet you remain rock solid with a state of equanimity. Rock solid is to keep affirming to positive thinking and counting blessings amidst turmoil. Because that is when one realises that the powers of thoughts run our lives. Here are a few ways to imbibe positive vibes in ourselves and apply the law of attraction to attract right people and opportunities in our lives:-

Wake Up With Gratitude

The happiness reaped out of displaying gratefulness is contagious. Once experienced, one will want to keep practicing it. As we feel grateful about certain things, people or situations in our life, it is impossible to be critical about the same things. As you awaken, feel thankful for the great things in life and believe that you are going to hear great news as you advance into the day. Affirm to yourself that you are going to have a fabulous day forward, and watch as the magic spills! Dr Daisaku Ikeda, Buddhist philosopher, educator and author says, “Complaining erases good fortune while having a sense of appreciation increases good fortune”.

An attitude of gratitude has surprising powers indeed.

Train the Brain, Master the Thoughts

One of the most powerful lessons that I have learnt in life is, “Fill yourself with positive thoughts and negative thoughts begin to go away”

Remember one cannot completely avoid negative thoughts, yet one can decide not to let them stick. Every day will present different set of challenges to you. Be it a long queue or no parking spots; tell your brain to constantly see the good in situations. Our subconscious mind believes everything we tell it. Proclaim to yourself that you will only think pleasant thoughts. You can leave behind motivational sticky notes at your desk to remind you of the positive reinforcements. Long before you know it, you would be surprised at your own transition!

Keep Counting Your Blessings

Throughout the day, count all the things you are grateful for and the reasons that make your life brimming with light. It could be good health, supportive parents, harmonious neighbours, great friends or even things like basic amenities such as home, electricity, gadgets, clothes that make your existence complete. Acknowledging the trivial things in life and appreciating them will always leave you in the best of moods.

The mind that stays focused on the best becomes the best. Focus on the best and your vibes will be best too.

Let Go

Reflect upon the things that are keeping you wound up. Everything that we need to achieve in life and happiness is within us. Do not empower things or people to control your mood. If something perturbs you, get over it and move on. Take immediate actions to uplift your mood; either by playing music, pursuing a hobby or thinking of memories that make your heart swirl. Don’t dwell on low energy situations and actively seek out being happy.

Thinking about the past (or future) is like sitting on a rocking chair and it does not take you anywhere. Live in the moment as much as you can.

Spiritual Fitness

Visualise a peaceful life and focus on the present. It is incredibly important to live in the moment and remain conscious. Focus on evolving and growing constantly. One can achieve this by practices such as meditation, yoga, deep breathing and calming thoughts.

Envision feeling fulfilled and you will be surprised with the positive energy that fills up your mind and soul. Create a collage or a vision board to get the reminder.

Believe in the Power of Positive Vibes

Our beliefs are a complex phenomenon influenced by our teachers, parents, books, friends, experiences and so on. If we believe in the power of positive vibes, we will take necessary actions to master our thoughts and tell ourselves the right stories. The stories we keep telling ourselves, become embedded in our mind over time and become our beliefs.

I had once posted on social media, “The more positive I became, more positive people came in my life. When more positive people came in my life, I became even more positive.

Keep reminding yourself to send positive vibes to the world. And you will attract positive people in your life. As they rightly say, “Your vibe attracts your tribe”.
