‘Seven Samurai’ taught me to avoid one terrible mistake we usually make when someone rejects us

Good insight on Seven Samurai. I live in Japan, and am married to a Japanese lady, so your piece was especially meaningful. I’m still looking for a copy of Seven Samurai (or 七人の侍, “Shichinin no Samurai”) so I can finally watch it! In the ten years living in Japan, I still haven’t seen it!

Your application of the movie’s story to real life is also interesting. I wrote a piece, called “On Judging Movies” (click the link to read). In it I theorize that the best movies (or the best stories) suggest deep truths about the world we live in. Your message here supports my idea.

Seven Samurai looks like an excellent movie. Can’t wait to watch!
