Solan, Himachal Pradesh — The Faculty of Legal Sciences at Shoolini University, in collaboration with the Himachal Pradesh Human Rights Commission, recently hosted a groundbreaking International Conference on Reformative Approaches to Human Rights. The conference, held at Shoolini University on 10–11 November 2022, saw the esteemed Chief Guest, HE Shri Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, Honorable Governor of Himachal Pradesh, inaugurate the event and launch the book titled “Reformist Approaches to Human Rights.”

Published by HP Hamilton Publication in the UK, the book, edited by Lenin Raghuvanshi, Editor in Chief, and Prof. Nandan Sharma, Editor, brings together the ideas of over thirty-five research scholars. The book is a comprehensive exploration of reformative approaches under four pivotal themes: ensuring the right to a dignified life, promoting equality and non-discrimination, reinterpreting legislation and law, and seeking reform in the digital space.

The unveiling of the book, “Reformist Approaches to Human Rights,” marked a significant moment during the International Conference on Reformative Approaches to Human Rights held at Shoolini University, symbolizing a collective commitment to advancing the discourse on human rights.

The conference witnessed various notable moments, including the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Shoolini University and PVCHR, among other organizations. Lenin Raghuvanshi, the founder and CEO of PVCHR, was honored during the valedictory session, which had HE Shri Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar as the Chief Guest.

Lenin Raghuvanshi, in his speech on Reformative Approaches, emphasized the progress of human civilization through diversity, inclusiveness, liberty, fraternity, and the rule of law for justice. The conference concluded with the planting of a tree on the campus of Shoolini University, symbolizing a commitment to memory and environmental conservation.

The last phase of the conference garnered significant attention, with Prof. P.K. Khosla, Founder and Chancellor of Shoolin University, honoring Lenin Raghuvanshi as the chief guest of the valedictory session.
