Finding A User Experience to Improve

Have you ever encountered a website that has provided a terrible experience? As a consumer I expect for websites to be well constructed and well thought out. Unfortunately for many, this is easier said than done. A prime example of this is car manufacturer websites. I have not experienced a dulled experience as I have for Toyota. I have made a rough sketch of the website and what the experience was like.

From what I gathered, the site goes with a less is more policy. This strategy is bland and dull for the consumer. The buttons for selections are lackluster, the colors lack perspective and texture. The preview for the car selected are too small to fully appreciate what features are being selected. If you can not appreciate what you are wishing to buy, the chances of you actually buying said product goes down.

Simplicity is not always what is needed to understand what you are getting. Yes the site is easy to understand, but the question is: does it provide a good experience? How does the site make you feel when buying the product?

With that said, these are the options that I offer as improvement. In my improvement, I upped the ability to maximize the preview of what options have been selected. The colors now have a textured shadow to them. I also added that extra bit of cool with the ‘Next’ button. It would feature a small animation, going from a line to an open arrow.
