Tony Brasunas — you had me right up to the call to support the US Green Party, which while running as a progressive alternative to two of the most widely-despised major-party candidates in history, couldn’t even get 1% of the vote in the last election! Thanks to candidates like Jill Stein and Ajamu Baraka, who don’t appear to even talk to each other let alone coordinate their messages, the US Green Party appears less a viable alternative to the two-party system than a cross between a small liberal arts college’s faculty lounge and a cult.

Otherwise, I agree with you completely — though I would point out that Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, who represents Hawaii’s Second District in the US House of Representatives, showed up with a group of US military veterans to protect the tribes from the predations of the North Dakota cops and various Big Oil mercenaries — er, “advisors”.
