I said outright I’m totally ready to change my view in face of evidence. I’m not pushing the lone wolf / economic explanation.

But what exactly am I being asked to replace it with? Ok sure, maybe the Berlin/Nice market got material assistance from an IS representative. That tells me a bit about how they did it but it doesn’t answer why. Why would someone ever give up the relative comfort of Western life to pursue terrorism? What sales pitch could possibly be effective at convincing someone to blow themselves up or drive a truck into a market?

I’m personally neither a loner nor economically impaired. Try and sell me on the idea of ramming a truck through a market place.
