oh those darn millennials. Posting pictures of their food on faceapp, doing selfies with each other, and committing acts of international violence. Youth these days I tell ya.

On a serious note I’m not really satisfied that any actionable information was in here. I stumbled into this article inclined to believe that most of what is labelled terrorism is economic and/or lone wolf. Now you’re saying that isn’t the case. Ok fine. I’m ready to change my mind in face of evidence. So why do people commit acts of terrorism?

The best the army journal can say is “social media”. What a cop out. Getting someone to give up their life and commit an act of terrorism must be a tough sell. How the heck are they doing it? “Targeting loners” is an explanation. “They don’t have much to lose” is an explanation. “Social media” doesn’t tell me anything.
