How to avoid defeat

ECU 4:9–10; Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble.

Nothing makes you more vulnerable to the attacks of the enemy than isolation. Temptation finds it lethal leverage in isolation. If you go all the way back to the Garden of Eden, you’ll find Eve was confronted and tempted by the Devil when she was alone. Our adversary the devil knows the powerful advantage he has when we choose to isolate ourselves. Isolation is the formula for defeat. In Genesis chapter 1, we find God’s stamp of approval for completion. Every time He created something, the project was determined finished by Him seeing that it was good. (Gen 1:12). The only time God is found saying something was not good in the Garden of Eden was regarding to man being alone. Gen 2:18 NLT; Then the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper who is just right for him.” This is very telling, we were not designed to be alone.

The devil knows the power that is available in unity within the Body of Christ. This is why he works overtime to make sure christians are disengaged and casual about their commitment to surround themselves with on-fire believers. Yes, going to a good church is imperative, don’t be a rebellious flake, who thinks all churches are below their standards. Healthy relationships among the Body of Christ are the impenetrable walls of the Kingdom of God.

Prov 18:1 NKJV; A man who isolates himself seeks his own desire;
He rages against all wise judgment.

Be wise enough to ask your Pastor or a mature respected christian in your life to keep you accountable in all areas. Don’t isolate yourself, unite yourself with the Body of Christ in Jesus Name! Grace be with you!
