John 14:27 NKJV, Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

I don’t know about you…? But if Jesus is offering to give His peace to me…I’m all about that Jesus peace! We are talking about the Man that moonwalked on water during a raging storm, the Man who walked into rooms with dead people and walked out with them alive, the Man who looked at an insufficient Lunchable and said we can make this work to feed five thousand people, and wasn’t just being a delusional optimist, but actually brought provision from Heaven to feed everyone, plus leftovers. We are talking about the Man that was beaten beyond recognition, mocked, and scourned and still had the ability to say, “forgive them for they know not what they do.” This for sure is not a typical peace. This is some magnificent Jesus PEACE! This is the peace, God has for you!

Your life becomes a masterpiece when you receive the Master’s peace.

God’s peace is the assurance of His presence and unwavering faithfulness. Peace is the sound of His voice. Over and over again in scripture we find the Holy Spirit teaching us how to hear the voice of God with distinct clarity. Peace is one of the main constant threads in hearing from God. Your faith connects you to Him and His peace directs you in your daily decisions. Phil 4:6–7 NKJV, is a great example of what we are examining, take a look; “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Did you see how we are instructed to pray and after we pray we are waiting for PEACE. Peace, means “yes.” No peace, means “no.” What a simplistic method of communication to develop your spirit’s maturity. Matt 5:37;But let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No,’ ‘No.’ For whatever is more than these is from the evil one” God doesn’t make answers murky He makes them clear. Peace=Yes, No peace=No, sort of I’m not really sure peace=deception. God is clear, because Love knows how to communicate.

My faith connects me, His peace directs me.

Col 3:15 NKJV; And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.

This verse would be the conclusive evidence to the case I’m making in a courtroom with no rebuttal. Where does God reside…? In your heart. Whatever rules gets final say, period. If peace rules in your heart, that would mean God’s way of communicating to you His desires and ways are through His peace. The Amplified translation elaborates peace as the; “controlling factor in your hearts [deciding and settling questions that arise].” Peace is a language you need to learn, in order to speak God’s language. Did you notice the verse also said, ‘called.’ In order for something to call out, it must have a voice. God has a voice, and it’s called peace. Jesus is the Word of God (John 1:14) and in order to communicate words there must be a voice. The Peace of God called you into one body, and now the peace of God will direct you in every realm of your life.

In order to be still and know He is God, you must turn your mind off and turn your heart towards Him.

I challenge you this day to pray with a renewed perspective. When you pray and make your requests known to God, wait for ‘peace’ or ‘no peace.’ When you begin to honor this process, God will then begin to unravel more specifics to you. When you do what the bible says, you will get what the Bible says. Psalm 46:10, “Be still and know He is God.” He will give you an exact answer to every decision in life, you just have to be still and know peace is the langauge of trust. Peace is the envelop in which, revelation is sealed and delivered by the Holy Spirit.

When Jesus came to the earth He came in peace; Luke 2:14 NKJV; “Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!” and when He was about to depart He left them with peace. John 14:27 NKJV; “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” Jesus started and ended His earthly ministry with peace as His compass. In this day and hour make sure one of your highest regards is to be packing Jesus PEACE!
