Thank you for taking the time and risk to write your post. I agree that the $5/ car borrowing analogies are way off. Women who are raped often feel depressed and frightened for years and the psychic damage can have profound effects on their ability to make a living and form healthy relationships. There is no material analogy high-priced enough to make up for the damage done by the violence of rape.
